Ibrahim "Pete" Hanna, MD, FACS is Chief Medical officer of Inova Mount Vernon Hospital. Prior to joining Inova, Dr. Hanna was chair of the Department of Surgery and a member of the Executive Leadership Team at LifeBridge Grace Medical Center, previously Bon Secours Baltimore Health System. During his tenure, the Department of Surgery achieved 100% SCIP compliance, as well as the highest physician engagement scores across the health system. His previous roles at Bon Secours include Senior Director of Health Informatics at the Enterprise Health System level.

J. Stephen Jones, MD, FACS, is President and CEO of Inova Health System, Northern Virginia’s nonprofit healthcare system. A board-certified practicing urological surgeon, he is also a Professor of Urology at the University of Virginia. Inova has received “Straight A” ratings by Leapfrog since 2018, and in 2020 became the first and only large health system in America to have every hospital rated five stars by CMS. Dr. Jones previously served as president of Cleveland Clinic Regional Hospitals and Family Health Centers.

John Deeken, MD, joined Inova in 2013 and currently has more than 18 years of clinical experience in internal medicine and medical oncology. He serves as the President of Inova Schar Cancer Institute (Inova Schar) and Medical Director for the Inova Schar Head and Neck Cancer Program. John's clinical research focuses on the use of immunotherapy treatments while his laboratory research takes a closer look at understanding the growing epidemic of head and neck cancers caused by HPV.

In his role as Chief Legal Officer / General Counsel of Inova, John is responsible for all legal affairs relating to Inova, including corporate governance, litigation, regulatory matters and transactional activity, and provides legal consultation and leadership to Inova's senior management team and all of its operating units. Before joining Inova, John served as general counsel and secretary of Sunrise Senior Living, Inc., a then NYSE-listed company that develops and operates senior-living communities in the U.S. and internationally.

John J. Moynihan, MD, is President of Inova Surgical Services, with oversight responsibilities for the service line across all Inova hospitals. Dr. Moynihan has also served as Chair of the Department of Surgery at Inova Fairfax Medical Campus since 2013. A specialty care physician board certified in general surgery, he has a special interest in management of breast, colon, gallbladder, hernia, and thyroid/parathyroid surgeries. He became interested in general surgery because it allowed him to apply his training and education to assist patients with a variety of surgical issues. Dr.

Laura Matthews joined Inova in 2014 as a member of the strategic planning team before moving to the Inova Schar Cancer Institute (Inova Schar) in January 2018. Starting as the Director of Operations and Growth, Laura became the Acting Vice President for the cancer service line in 2019 before being formally named Vice President and Administrator of Inova Schar in July 2020. Prior to Inova, Laura served as the Director of Strategic Initiatives for the Nemours Alfred I. DuPont Hospital for Children’s Health and Prevention Services team.

Marshall Mintz, MD, is President of Inova’s clinical platforms service line and Senior Vice President of Inova Health System. In this role, he is responsible for leading Inova’s comprehensive clinical platforms, including diagnostic imaging, interventional radiology, medical lab testing, pathology, pharmacy, respiratory therapy and clinical nutrition. Marshall earned his bachelor’s degree from Duke University in Durham, NC, and his medical degree from Cornell University Medical College in New York.

Maureen Sintich, DNP, MBA, RN, WHNP-BC, NEA-BC, serves as Inova's Chief Nurse Executive (CNE) and Executive Vice President. In this role, she leads Inova’s Nursing Professional Practice team and six Chief Nursing Officers representing Inova's five hospitals and nursing informatics. Prior to Inova, Maureen served as Senior Vice President and Network Chief Nursing Officer for Hackensack Meridian Health in New Jersey. Before moving to New Jersey, she spent 14 years with Wake Forest Baptist Health in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

Michelle Vassallo is an award-winning and accomplished nursing leader with nearly 15 years of experience and currently serves as the Vice President of Nursing for Inova’s clinical platforms service line. In this role, Michelle is responsible for clinical quality, service and affordability metrics and overall strategic direction of laboratory and pathology services, pharmacy services, nutrition services, and diagnostic imaging and interventional radiology services.

Nancy Bowles, BSN, RN, MHA, OCN®, CRNI®, NEA-BC, CPC, CHONC, is the Vice President of Nursing at the Inova Schar Cancer Institute. Nancy is an accomplished clinical oncology professional with over three decades of experience leading cancer centers and oncology service lines. Nancy has dedicated her entire career to oncology and is fascinated in the advancements that has happen during her tenure. Her passion lies in helping patients throughout their cancer journey. She is very active in team member professional development, new patient education and program development.
