    The Inova Surgical Critical Care Fellowship is a 12-month program designed to prepare fellows for the advanced levels of performance expected of a board-certified subspecialist.   4. About the Surgical Critical Care Fellowship

    The goal of the Surgical Critical Care Fellowship Program is to prepare fellows to function as qualified practitioners at the advanced level of performance expected of a board-certified subspecialist. The education of surgeons in the practice of surgical critical care encompasses didactic instruction in the basic and clinical sciences of surgical diseases and conditions, as well as education in procedural skills and techniques used in the intensive care settings.

    Applications to the Inova Fairfax Hospital Surgical Critical Care Fellowship are accepted exclusively through the SAFAS Application Service of the Surgical Critical Care Program Directors Society, available at www.sccpds.org/future-scc-fellows. Application Deadline The deadline for applications is August 1. Required Materials The following materials are requested. After all materials have been uploaded to the website and received, the application can then be considered complete and eligible for consideration.
