Patient safety is our top priority. Inova Fairfax Medical Campus encourages you and your family to be active participants in your care and safety during your stay with us. If you have any safety concerns, we urge you to report them to your doctor or nurse. Personal Identification and Medical Safety Expand Content Each time staff enters your room; they will check your armband and ask your name and/or birth date to validate proper patient identification before medication administration, blood draws or other procedures.

As a capable adult, you have the right to be involved in decisions about your healthcare. Your physician will provide an explanation of your illness, treatment options and the possible outcomes. He or she will answer your questions and make recommendations regarding your medical treatment. We encourage you to discuss your condition and your choices for treatment with your family or others who are close to you. Inova Children's Hospital Critical Care Ambulance One Call Center - 24 Hours A Day For Referral, Admissions and Transport call 1-877-900-9543 (1-877-900-9KID)  The One Call center for pediatric transport is ready 24 hours a day to receive your call, connect you directly to the appropriate physician, and manage the admissions and transport process – no matter how tiny or sick the patient.

Spiritual care, also known as pastoral care or chaplaincy, is intended to facilitate healing by improving the well being of patients, family members and staff. At Inova Fairfax Medical Campus, our professionally-trained chaplains are available to serve the whole person – body, mind and spirit – by addressing the individual needs of the patient, family members and staff. Our chaplains focus on supporting the journey toward a deeper spiritual meaning and understanding of suffering, sickness, health and wellness through direct service, education and consultation.

South Side Café Located in the South Patient Tower on the 1st floor. South Side Café offers a variety of food options including sandwiches, soups, burgers, pizza, a salad bar and other fare. Service Times: Pizza, grill, soups, salads, coffee and Grab n' Go: available 24/7 Freshens smoothies: 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. daily  Entrée line: Breakfast: 6:30 – 10 a.m. Lunch: 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Dinner: 4 – 8 p.m.
