Where to Find Us The library is housed in Inova Fairfax Hospital/Inova Children's Hospital and is located in the atrium at the top of the escalators in the connector corridor between the Tower Lobby and the Inova Women's Hospital.  Monday — Friday 8 a.m. — 8 p.m. Saturday 9 a.m. — 5 p.m. Visit the Library Online  The Health Sciences Library provides online resources and services to Inova physicians, employees, affiliated residents and students for their work as it relates to patient care, education, research and management.

Please note: the operators do not provide personal information regarding patients’ medical condition while they are in the hospital. Discharge Hospitality Suite At Inova Fairfax Medical Campus we have a special lounge for patients who are ready to be discharged but waiting for an additional step such as medication to be filled or transportation home. A caregiver will bring you to the Discharge Hospitality Suite, where you will complete your stay with us. The Discharge Hospitality Suite is conveniently located in the South Patient Tower Lobby, adjacent to the Diagnostic Imaging Department. The suite offers comfortable seating, complimentary snacks and a locked area for your valuables.

At Inova Fairfax Medical Campus, each member of our team has a unique role and is dedicated to providing you with excellent patient care. Depending on your individual needs, your healthcare team may include different clinical providers with specialized roles. Each team member wears a specific color coded uniform so they are easily identifiable by their role. As the patient, you are the most important member of your team. Please be sure to ask questions and share concerns about any part of your care.

Let us know if you need assistance with communication due to hearing, vision and/or speech impairments, or if you want to communicate with your providers in a language other than English. Telephone Services Expand Content Local telephone service is provided to patients at no charge: To reach someone within the hospital, dial the last five digits of the phone number. For local calls, dial 9, followed by the area code and phone number. For long distance calls, dial 9 + 0 to place a collect call. You may also use a calling card. The Hospital Call Center Agents will place courtesy calls for patients who require long distance calling. Dial 0, to access call center agents.

The Inova Fairfax Medical Campus (IFMC) Patient Relations Department acts as a liaison between patients, families, visitors and the hospital’s administration. Patient Relations addresses complaints and grievances, acknowledges compliments, and notarizes documents for patients.
