Biography Dr. Ameet Chitale is a specialty care board-certified neurosurgeon at Inova Health System. Dr. Chitale joined Inova from Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, where he served as a neurosurgery instructor and completed a subspecialty fellowship in the minimally invasive/endovascular treatment of cerebrovascular disease. During the completion of his residency training at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, he learned the art of open neurosurgical management of vascular, spinal and brain tumor disorders. Dr. Amin Benyounes is a board-certified medical oncologist at Inova Health System who specializes in cancers of the chest (thoracic) and soft tissues (sarcoma). His main areas of expertise are lung cancers and sarcomas. Prior to joining Inova, Dr. Benyounes worked as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore. Dr. Benyounes is currently the lead medical oncologist for Inova’s thoracic oncology program and Inova’s sarcoma oncology program.
