1. Medical Student Rotations

    Medical students enrolled in LCME-accredited programs may participate in rotations at Inova facilities. Interested students who would like to apply for rotations should contact their Dean's Office for placement. All medical student rotations are authorized by the Director of Undergraduate Medical Education. Please go to the AAMC (Association of American Medical Colleges) log in page to apply via the Visiting Student Application Service (VSAS).
  2. University of Virginia Patient-Student Partnership

    University of Virginia Patient-Student Partnership You are invited to participate in the University of Virginia (UVA) School of Medicine's Patient-Student Partnership (PSP) at Inova Fairfax Medical Campus. Patients are paired with a UVA medical student at the beginning of the student's time in medical school. The student will work with you and your doctor to learn about your medical history and how it has affected your life. The student will provide extra help related to your care – and you will help shape a future doctor.

    By following a single set of editorial guidelines, we can ensure all Inova written communications – whether for team members, patients, donors or the community – present a clear and consistent voice. The accepted companion to this style guide is the Associated Press (AP) Stylebook. When the Inova style guide and AP Stylebook differ, you should observe the rules in Inova’s style guide. (One notable difference: We use the abbreviation “MD” for Medical Doctor, whereas AP style is “M.D.”) When a rule could not be decided using AP style, AMA style was used.
