1. Inova Pharmacy Plus PGY1 Community Residency Program

    Inova has established in-house retail pharmacy services for the convenience of patients, the local community and Inova team members. There are Pharmacy Plus locations at Inova Fair Oaks Hospital (IFOH), Inova Heart and Vascular Institute at Fairfax Hospital (IHVI) and the Inova Schar Cancer Institute (ISCI). The Schar Cancer Institute pharmacy is both a retail and an ACHC and URAC accredited specialty pharmacy where patients can fill prescriptions for medications used to treat chronic conditions such as cancer. Our staff coordinates with providers to ensure continuity of care.
  2. Inova Pharmacy Plus PGY1 Community Residency Program: Apply

    Applicant Qualifications The resident applicant will be a graduate of an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE)-accredited Doctor of Pharmacy degree program. The applicant must be licensed, or eligible for licensure in the state of Virginia. The applicant must participate in and adhere to the rules of the residency matching program (RMP) process. Deadlines and Requirements Applications are due January 6, 2023 Applications are accepted through PHORCAS (NMS code 284415) Visit PHORCAS All requirements must be completed by the application deadline.
  3. Salary and Benefits - Pharmacy Plus PGY1 Community Residency Program

    Estimated Stipend $57,600 Vacation/PTO Residents accrue paid time off (PTO) during the one-year residency program. Use of PTO will be in accordance to the residents' PTO policy. Insurance Residents are eligible for medical, prescription, dental, vision, long-term disability and short-term disability insurance. Professional Liability Insurance Residents are covered by the hospital's general professional liability insurance. Educational Stipend Reasonable expenses for travel to the ASHP Mid-Year Meeting and Eastern States Residency conference are reimbursable.
  4. Inova PGY2 Ambulatory Care Pharmacy Residency Program

    Inova's ASHP-Accredited PGY2 Ambulatory Care residency program was started in 2018 as a partnership with Shenandoah University School of Pharmacy. We provide clinical and administrative training for pharmacists suitable for entry into a patient care role as a clinical pharmacist and to sit for board certification. Training opportunities include but are not limited to: primary care, clinically integrated network, specialty pharmacy, cardiology, endocrinology, oncology, administration, academia, and transitions of care.
