The Graduate Medical Education (GME) Clearance Card Checklist lists all the required documents and forms for residents, which are also listed below. The Inova Fairfax Hospital Surgery Residency Program is fully accredited by the ACGME. The graduating chief residents routinely complete their training with over 1,100 major procedures and have been successful in entering private practice or obtaining fellowships in their chosen fields of interest. Mission and Program Aims Protected Educational Time The residents enjoy five hours of protected educational time each week, including one hour of morbidity/mortality conference, one hour of a grand rounds presentation and three hours of problem/case based learning in our simulation center.
