Dr. Messay Balcha is a primary care physician board certified in internal medicine. He joined Inova Medical Group with more than 20 years of clinical experience. He has a special interest in the management of hypertension and diabetes. Dr. Balcha became interested in internal medicine because it provides the opportunity to positively affect healthcare outcomes while allowing development of a long term relationship with the patient and family. His goal is to help his patients achieve and maintain the highest level of wellness. A native of Ethiopia, Dr.

After graduating from California State University Long Beach and working in accounting for years, Mia decided to change career paths and pursue a degree as a physical therapist assistant. During her two years at Northern Virginia Community College, she had the opportunity to work at two different Inova physical therapy hospitals and clinics and decided to start her new career with Inova Physical Therapy Centers upon graduation.

Dr. Michael Filak is a board-certified physician. He joined Inova Health System in 2020. He is US Navy trained and after seven years in the US Navy, joined Fairfax Family Practice in 1987. Dr. Filak is a co-founder of the Family Medicine of Clifton/Centreville office and has been an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine for more than 25 years. Dr. Filak enjoys spending time with his wife, four daughters and seven grandchildren.

Dr. Michael Hartman is a primary care physician board certified in family medicine. He joined Inova Health System in 2020 and has been practicing since 2009. Beyond practicing medicine, Dr. Hartman enjoys spending time with his college sweetheart and their four kids. He is also an avid flag football player, enjoys running adventure races and entertaining friends and family.
