Sherri Taylor is a board-certified, specialty care nurse practitioner. She joined Inova Health System in 2021 and has been practicing since 2000 as a registered nurse and since 2018 as a doctor of nursing practice. Her areas of expertise include family medicine, obstetrics, gynecology, and oncology. Sherri holds a Doctorate in Nursing and Certificate in Nursing Education. Sherri attained her DNP from George Mason University where her scholarly work focused on body image in breast cancer survivors.

Dr. Scripps is a primary care physician board certified in family medicine. He joined Inova Medical Group – Gainesville in 2010. He emphasizes preventive medicine and enjoys all aspects of comprehensive patient care. He also incorporates osteopathic manipulative treatment into the care he provides. A native of Pittsburgh, PA, Dr. Scripps always wanted to be a doctor but decided to practice family medicine after working with a family medicine doctor during a rotation in medical school.

Dr. Matthew Scriven is a board-certified surgeon. He joined Inova Health System in 2020 and has been practicing since 2012.  Read Dr. Scriven’s personal statement below I was driven to be a surgeon because of my desire to have a career where I could have a direct, positive impact in people’s lives. I also wanted to be in an environment where I am constantly challenged and have the opportunity to continually learn. I want each and every one of my patients to leave the office feeling well informed about their medical problem and the options available to them for treatment.
