Michael J Horwath, MD

Dr. Horwath is a specialty care physician board certified in internal medicine and endocrinology. He joins Inova Medical Group with over 30 years of clinical experience. He has a special interest in management of diabetes, thyroid disorders, hypertension, and high-risk pregnancy.  Recently Dr. Horwath served as a member of the Northern Virginia medical community for 30 years. As part of that community, he has been a witness and a willing participant in the many changes which have occurred in medicine, especially in the practice of Endocrinology.  Dr. Horwath's goal is to provide the most up-to-date care of endocrine disorders to every patient according to the patient's individual needs.  A native of Pennsylvania, Dr. Horwath currently resides in Fairfax, VA with his wife. In his spare time he likes to run marathons, enjoy opera and travel.
