Dr. Lauren Mauro is a specialty care physician board-certified in internal medicine, medical oncology and hematology at Inova Health System. She joined Inova with more than 11 years of clinical experience and a special interest in the management of all types of breast cancer, from early-stage to metastatic disease. After completing her fellowship at Johns Hopkins, Dr. Mauro was on staff as an assistant professor of medicine at the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences in the hematology/oncology division.

Dr. Lauren Cianciaruso is a family medicine physician with more than 20 years of experience, board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. She began serving patients in Northern Virginia in 2002, and rejoined the Inova Primary Care Purcellville practice in 2017. She values developing long-term relationships with her patients and thoroughly enjoys taking care of the entire family from newborn to geriatrics.  Dr.

Lauren graduated from Pepperdine University in 2002 with a BS degree in nutritional science. She then received her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from George Washington University in 2008. Lauren has since worked in the outpatient orthopedic setting and came to Inova in 2012. She prefers to treat with a combination of hands-on approach and strengthening.
