  2. Heart Transplant Program - Patient Referral and Eligibility

    Referral Process Patients may be referred to the Inova Heart Transplant Program by their primary care physician, cardiologist, insurance/case manager, or refer themselves via fax, email or telephone. For telephone referrals, please email/fax the pertinent patient records.     Interventional Cardiology Services Interventional cardiology is a subspecialty of cardiology focused on diagnosing and fixing problems with blood vessel supply to the heart through minimally invasive cardiac catheterization techniques performed by interventional cardiologists.
