    Inova's one-year fellowship for bariatric surgery was established in 2003. The program includes simultaneous clinical and research responsibility. The objective of this program is to develop a bariatric surgeon who can assume complete responsibility for the preoperative, operative and postoperative surgical care of the general surgery patient undergoing minimally invasive surgery and the morbidly obese patient.

    We utilize The Fellowship Council's Universal Fellowship Application and Match Service. Interested applicants must go to the council's website to create an account and a universal application. About The Fellowship Council The Fellowship Council is an association of program directors and specialty societies charged with oversight of fellowship training programs in order to uphold uniformly high standards and produce well trained surgeons.

  9. Eligibility Requirements & Application Process

    Program Information The Cardiology Fellowship Program at Inova Fairfax Medical Campus accepts three (3) fellows annually. All qualified applicants are considered for interviews. However, due to the large number of applications we receive, we are not able to offer an interview to all qualified candidates. All interviews will be done virtually during the 2020 interview season. Application Information Candidates must submit all required information through ERAS. Paper applications are not accepted.
