    Annual lung cancer screening with low-dose computed tomography (LDCT) is recommended for adults ages 50 to 77 who have a 20 pack-year smoking history and currently smoke, or have quit within the past 15 years. Inova’s Lung Cancer Screening program is designed to detect cancer in its earliest, most treatable stage. LDCT technology generates cross-sectional images of the body, using less ionizing radiation than a conventional CT scan.

    We are Here to Help. Inova's Smoking Cessation Program is available to anyone interested in stopping their smoking. Smoking cessation lowers the risk of cancer and other serious health problems. This program offers counseling, behavior therapy, medicines, and nicotine-containing products, such as nicotine patches, gum, lozenges, inhalers, and nasal sprays, which may be used to help a person quit smoking. This individual program includes one individual session and eight group sessions designed to help people struggling with a smoking addiction.
