    Ton has been a practicing physical therapist since 2000 after earning his master's degree in physical therapy from the University of Evansville and then his transitional doctorate from Virginia Commonwealth University. He became a board-certified Clinical Specialist in orthopedic physical therapy from the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties in 2012 and was re-certified in 2022.
