Emily joined Inova Health System in January 2021. She received her undergraduate degree from Virginia Tech with a major in human nutrition, foods and exercise, and minor in Spanish. She then earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Shenandoah University. Emily is passionate about continuing her education and is always searching for opportunities to learn and better herself throughout her career. She is certified in Dry Needling Levels 1 and 2 and has taken courses from the Institute of Physical Art.

Dr. Emily Way is the Medical Director of Inova Children’s Rheumatology and is a specialty care physician board certified in pediatric rheumatology and pediatrics at Inova Health System. She received her medical degree from Penn State College of Medicine in Hershey, PA, in 2008. Dr. Way completed her pediatric residency at the Medical University of South Carolina Children's Hospital in Charleston and completed her fellowship training in pediatric rheumatology at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh.
