Until blood is needed for themselves or for a loved one, most people do not think about the blood supply in our community. As a result, we want to raise awareness of the "why" behind our donors and the patients we serve. The prospect of surgery, anesthesia and hospitalization can be stressful and overwhelming for any child and family. At Inova Children's Hospital, our pediatric staff is specially trained to support both the medical and emotional needs of your child.   Our  may help you and your child better understand the pre-surgical and surgical process for pediatric cardiac patients.
