He received his Bachelor of Science degree in biology from the University of California Los Angeles, and he completed his Master of Science in Health Sciences in Physician Assistance studies at top-ranked The George Washington University in 2003. Dr. Goodman is a recognized expert in hepatobiliary pathology and liver biopsy interpretation.

    Annual lung cancer screening with low-dose computed tomography (LDCT) is recommended for adults ages 50 to 77 who have a 20 pack-year smoking history and currently smoke, or have quit within the past 15 years. Inova’s Lung Cancer Screening program is designed to detect cancer in its earliest, most treatable stage. LDCT technology generates cross-sectional images of the body, using less ionizing radiation than a conventional CT scan.

This program offers counseling, behavior therapy, medicines, and nicotine-containing products, such as nicotine patches, gum, lozenges, inhalers, and nasal sprays, which may be used to help a person quit smoking. This individual program includes one individual session and eight group sessions designed to help people struggling with a smoking addiction.
