Supplementing its comprehensive acute care and emergency department services, Inova Mount Vernon Hospital is home to the nationally recognized Inova Joint Replacement Center and the Inova Rehabilitation Center. Both are ranked among the top orthopedic and rehabilitation programs in the country. We are seeking volunteers to become members of this established group that will help shape the future of healthcare at Inova. The council membership will consist of recent patients and family members as well as hospital staff. The mission of the council is varied and may include the following:  providing input and different points of view on programs, issues, and services that impact patient care.

Involvement in decisions about your own healthcare and maintaining good communication with those who are providing that care are essential for a positive hospital experience. Traditional Volunteer Opportunities Become a part of our winning team of volunteers who have dedicated themselves to helping our community and our neighbors in a time when they need us the most. Volunteer opportunities include working in the hospital, raising funds by operating the Gift Shop and Select Seconds thrift shop, and special fundraising events sponsored by the Inova Mount Vernon Hospital Auxiliary.
