Dr. Robert A. Hymes is a board-certified and fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon with more than 20 years of experience, specializing in the management of fractures, nounions/malunions, pelvis and acetabular fractures/injuries and bone infections. Dr. Hymes became interested in orthopedics and orthopedic trauma because of the complex nature and interplay of fractures and functional recovery. His goal is to help patients and their families get through the difficult challenges that their injuries may bring.

Dr. Robert Chao is a specialty care physician board certified in rheumatology and internal medicine. He joined Inova Health System in 2020 and has been practicing since 2014. Prior to joining Inova, Dr. Chao was at the University of California San Diego. He has a special interest in treating seronegative spondyloarthropathies such as psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis and reactive arthritis. Dr. Chao enjoys working as a team with the patient and other providers to treat the patient's rheumatologic problem collaboratively.

Dr. Robert Cunnion is a specialty care cardiologist board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, and nuclear cardiology. He joins Inova Medical Group with over 34 years of clinical experience. He is a general cardiologist with a special interest in cardiomyopathy and cardiac oncology. Before entering private practice in 1998, Dr. Cunnion was a physician scientist at the National Institutes of Health, publishing more than sixty research papers and textbook chapters.

Dr. Robert Shapiro is a board certified cardiology, nuclear cardiology, and echocardiography physician. He joins Inova Medical Group with 12 years of experience as a clinical cardiologist in Pennsylvania, where he also served as the medical director of a large echocardiography laboratory.
