Today, about 6.5 million Americans are suffering with chronic nonhealing wounds, and this number is projected to increase as the United States population gets older.

    Oluwayemisi (Yemisi) joined Inova Health System in February 2018. She completed her undergraduate degree at Georgia State University and her Doctorate in Physical Therapy at The University of Alabama at Birmingham. Yemisi is passionate about making her patients active participants in their care and equipping them with the tools they need to get back to moving through their daily lives safely and efficiently. She believes that the best outcomes for her patients occur when both the therapist and patient are working together towards patient-centered goals.
