Dr. Piper is a transplant surgeon and a general surgeon with more than 20 years expertise in pancreatic and hepatobiliary surgery. As one of the original physicians with Inova Medical Group, Dr. Piper has been employed by Inova for over 12 years. He currently serves as an associate professor of surgery at Virginia Commonwealth University and participates in missions to provide surgical services in underserved areas. After undergoing several surgical procedures in high school, Dr. Piper became interested in medicine and surgery and went on to work as an orderly in the operating rooms.
