There are eight different blood types: O+, O-, A+, A-, B+, B-, AB+ and AB-.  Each blood type has unique properties.  Find yours on the chart to learn more! Having a donor population that matches our patient population is essential to reducing the risk of further complications. Hispanics, Asians and African Americans often have rare compatibility traits in their blood that are unique to their ethnicity.
