    We want your stay at Inova Loudoun Ladies Board Birthing Inn to be as comfortable and welcoming as possible. Please note the information below designed to enhance the comfort and safety of all our mothers, newborns and their families and guests. Please speak with your nurse if you have questions about any of these guidelines. Slippers or shoes must be worn at all times within the Birthing Inn Families and guests may bring a cooler for food into Mom's room. No food is permitted in the hospital refrigerator for infection control reasons.

Our staff is supportive and skilled in helping breastfeeding mothers and infants, sensitive to families' different cultural needs, eager to "meet the mother where she is" during the breastfeeding experience, and available to help the mother plan for how to continue breastfeeding if she returns to the workplace.   3. Midwifery Services at Inova Loudoun Hospital

    Inova Loudoun Hospital is pleased to offer moms-to-be the option of working with a certified nurse midwife (CNM), a registered nurse with undergraduate and advanced degrees in nursing and midwifery from an accredited nurse-midwifery education program. Nurse midwives provide patient care during pre-conception, pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period. To deliver at the Natural Birth Center, patients must be under the care of a CNM at Loudoun OB/GYN and Midwives.
