    Limited Reopening! We are pleased to announce that the McLean and Springfield Treasure Trove stores are now open with the following hours: McLean: Tuesday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Springfield: Tuesday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Inova Fairfax Medical Campus Treasure Trove stores are located in McLean and Springfield, VA. These stores resell donated items and consigned merchandise. Proceeds from the stores directly benefit Inova Fairfax Medical Campus programs and services.

    The Inova Mount Vernon Hospital Auxiliary has been a vital part of Inova Mount Vernon Hospital since the doors opened in 1976. In fact, people from the community, excited about having a hospital in their own backyard, formed the Auxiliary before the hospital was completed. Through their efforts, a strong volunteer program was built, making a significant contribution to the patients and their families – our neighbors! Each day, men, women and teens bring to the hospital extra pairs of hands, compassionate hearts and a willingness to promote health, wellness and caring.

  8. Scholarships/Savings Bonds

    Our young people are an important investment in our future, not only in the hours they spend volunteering, but also in the future of our healthcare system. Because we are proud of our junior volunteers, the Auxiliary offers savings bonds each year to several of these hardworking high school participants. Additionally, any high school senior who has volunteered for at least 150 hours is eligible to apply for a $2,500 scholarship for additional or continuing education in the field of healthcare.

    The volunteers of Inova Mount Vernon Hospital Auxiliary not only dedicate themselves to hundreds of hours of volunteer time within the hospital, but also sponsor special events and fundraising opportunities that benefit many hospital services and programs. If you are an organizer, a people person and enjoy planning events, your skills are needed in our fundraising activities. We plan and sponsor uniform sales, jewelry and art shows, the holiday bazaar, fantastic bake sales and pecan sales, a bi-annual fashion show and our annual Lights of Love fundraiser during the holiday season.
