Inova Cardio-Oncology Program Inova Heart and Vascular Institute has partnered with Inova Schar Cancer Institute to establish a cardio-oncology program to help patients avoid cardiotoxicity from chemotherapy and radiation treatments. Late cardiovascular effects of treatment are the second leading cause of death among cancer survivors. Improvements in early detection and cancer treatments have resulted in an increasing number of long-term cancer survivors.

Cardiovascular Genomics Program The Inova Cardiovascular Genomics Program specializes in the care of adult and pediatric cardiovascular patients and their families with inheritable genetic diseases (diseases due to biological fingerprint or DNA) and genomic diseases (diseases inherited and related to other environmental or acquired factors).
