Women who need surgery may be a candidate for either a lumpectomy (removal of the tumor and surrounding tissue) or a mastectomy (total removal of one or both breasts). Women may also choose to have reconstructive surgery after lumpectomy or mastectomy. Prescription Drug Take Back Secure Prescription Collection Boxes at Inova In an effort to help reduce the risk of drugs in the home that can be a source of drug abuse, Inova has set up seven secure, safe drop-off locations across its hospitals. This is part of an effort to offer a convenient medication take-back option for easy disposal of leftover, unused and out-of-date prescription and over-the-counter medications. All medication must be placed in a sealed container.
