Leah R Allbright, MD

Dr. Allbright is a board-eligible obstetrician and gynecologist and Northern Virginia native. She joined Inova Health System as an OB-GYN physician in 2021 after completing her OB-GYN residency at Inova Fairfax Hospital where she served as Chief of Academics. Dr. Allbright offers and is passionate about comprehensive, evidence-based care of women throughout their life: from adolescence to pregnancy and childbirth, birth control and sterilization, management of routine preventative health screening, abnormal uterine bleeding and menopause. She believes in a patient-centered, Health at Every Size (HAES) approach, LGBTQIA+ Centered Health, and Trans/Non-Binary Health (Gender-Affirming Care). She is trained in SpinningBabies®, utilizing maternal positioning to facilitate easier labor and delivery. Her patient-care philosophy centers on empowering patients to advocate for their own health needs to make informed autonomous decisions. Dr. Allbright performs the full scope of office gynecology as well as minimally invasive gynecologic surgery including laparoscopy and daVinci robot procedures, hysteroscopic resection and endometrial ablative surgery. Dr. Allbright enjoys spending quality time outdoors with her husband and dogs, traveling, singing and Pure Barre.
