Christopher S. King, MD, FACP, FCCP, is a transplant pulmonologist and medical director of the Transplant and Advanced Lung Disease Critical Care at Inova Fairfax Hospital. He also serves as and Co-Director of the Cystic Fibrosis Program. Dr. King is board certified in internal medicine, pulmonary and critical care medicine. Dr. King serves as both a transplant pulmonologist and a medical intensivist for the Medical Critical Care Service at Inova Fairfax Hospital. He also is an assistant clinical professor of medicine at Virginia Commonwealth University. Dr. King is a member of the medical honor society, Alpha Omega Alpha. While on active duty in the United States Army, he completed tours in Korea and Afghanistan as well as serving in Virginia and Texas. Dr. King has participated in clinical research throughout his training and during his tenure at Inova. His research interests are broad and include venous thromboembolism, interstitial lung disease and pulmonary hypertension. He has co-authored numerous publications including original research and review articles. He has lectured at national conferences and currently serves as a panel member on the American College of Chest Physicians' guidelines on anti-thrombotic disease.
