David Y Lee, MD

David Y. Lee, MD, is a board certified, specialty care physician in general surgery and complex general surgical oncology. Dr. Lee is an assistant professor of surgery in medical education with University of Virginia School of Medicine at Inova Fairfax Medical Campus. He is actively engaged in resident and student education and serves on the medical school's admissions committee. Dr. Lee serves on the editorial board of Annals of Surgical Oncology and is an active member of the Society of Surgical Oncology. He stays up to date on the latest developments in cancer care through participation in professional societies and clinical research. Dr. Lee serves on the hepato-pancreato-biliary disease site committee for the Society of Surgical Oncology and has also served on the gastrointestinal disease work group in the past. Dr. Lee also serves on the Inova Fairfax Hospital Cancer Committee as a surgical representative. Dr. Lee became interested in the surgical care of cancer patients because he wanted to provide personalized compassionate care. His goal is help patients beat cancer through multidisciplinary care.
