Dr. Foster Montalbano has been practicing internal medicine in the Northern Virginia area since 1985 at Inova hospitals and facilities. He also was one of the first physicians in this area to start a concierge medicine practice in 2006. Because of his strong belief in offering enhanced access to his patients and evidence based answers to medical questions, continuity of care across the healthcare spectrum and shared medical decisionmaking, Dr. Montalbano has extremely high patient satisfaction rates. He received his medical degree at the American University of the Caribbean and completed his internal medicine residency at Providence Hospital in Washington, DC. He is board certified in internal medicine. Dr. Montalbano is an active racquetball player, skier, cyclist and hiker. He has completed three Marine Corps Marathons and is married with two daughters. His most famous relative was Friar Gregor Mendel, the pioneer of present day genetics.
