Dr. Hannah Walters is a board-certified neurologist and is a fellowship-trained movement disorders specialist. She joined the Inova Health System in 2020 and has been practicing since 2014. Dr. Walters specializes in the management of Parkinson’s disease, Huntington’s disease, essential tremor, dystonia, ataxia, tic disorders and other movement disorders. She has specialized training in the use of botulinum toxin injections and deep brain stimulation (DBS) for movement disorders. She became interested in neurology and movement disorders after seeing the impact that quality care could have on a patient's life. She is especially interested in teaming with her patients as they progress through their disease journey to create a care plan incorporating cutting-edge pharmacology and technology with compassion and a focus on individual patient goals and needs. A native of rural Indiana, Dr. Walters currently resides in Reston, VA, with her significant other. She enjoys fine wine, hiking, board games and is a dog lover. Prior to adopting her current rescue dog, she was active in dog rescue and has fostered more than 30 animals.
