James Ditaranto, DO

Dr. Ditaranto is a board certified family medicine physician and has been in practice for more than 36 years. He obtained his undergraduate degree at the University of Pittsburgh and medical degree at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. His residency was in family medicine. When he first started out on his journey in medicine he would carry his medical bag on his numerous house calls in the suburbs of Philadelphia. Dr. Ditaranto's family hails from Italy, where his passion for family and Italian traditions first started. He loves preparing Italian cuisine, painting and musical instruments such as the clarinet and recently is learning how to play the piano. He always provides compassion, respect and a sense of partnership when treating his patients. Dr. Ditaranto concentrates on preventative medicine and always encourages his patients to be engaged in their healthcare. Dr. Ditaranto's love of medicine started when he was 4 years old. He never wavered, and always knew what his passion in life would be. He welcomes you with open arms.
