Jenava Carty, MD

Dr. Jenava Carty is a specialty care physician board certified in obstetrics and gynecology at Inova Health System. She joined Inova in 2022 and has been practicing since 2014. Prior to joining Inova, Dr. Carty served as a physician in the United States Army; site director for the obstetrics and gynecology residents from Walter Reed National Military Medical Center; and assistant site director for family medicine residents’ gynecology rotation at Fort Belvoir Community Hospital in Fort Belvoir, VA. Dr. Carty’s clinical areas of interest include contraception and family planning, abnormal uterine bleeding, pregnancy, cervical cancer screening (Pap smear), and menopausal conditions. She enjoys working with patients in all life phases, from adolescence to menopause. Dr. Carty’s patient care philosophy is to listen to patients, provide information in a way that is easy to understand and empower them to make their own decisions when it comes to their obstetric or gynecologic health. Her goals are to partner with her patients and help them feel safe and comfortable during their visits.
