Jina Kim, MD

Dr. Jina Kim is a specialty care physician board eligible in general surgery and fellowship-trained in endocrine surgery. She has a special interest in caring for patients with endocrine diseases and performs surgeries of the thyroid, parathyroid, and adrenal glands. Patients with endocrine tumors often need specialized, multidisciplinary care, and she feels fortunate to be able to provide such care at Inova. Dr. Kim joined Inova Health System in 2020 and has been practicing endocrine surgery since 2019. Prior to joining Inova, Dr. Kim completed a surgical residency at Duke University and an endocrine surgery fellowship at the University of California-San Francisco. Her research interests include quality improvement of surgical care for patients, both regionally and nationally. She has served as a committee member with the American Thyroid Association and as an ad-hoc reviewer for various surgical journals. As a native of Northern Virginia, Dr. Kim enjoys exploring local parks and new restaurants with her family.
