Jonathan M Dort, MD

Dr. Jonathan Dort is a specialty care physician board certified in general surgery. He joins Inova Medical Group with over 25 years of clinical experience. He has a special interest in management of gastrointestinal disorders, gallbladder and biliary diseases, gastro esophageal reflux disease (GERD), and the application of minimally invasive surgery. Dr. Dort serves as Vice Chairman for Education in the Department of Surgery, as well as Program Director of the General Surgery Residency, and Director of Minimally Invasive Surgery. Dr. Dort became interested in general surgery because he wanted to be able to offer the full range of treatment options to his patients. His goal is to help his patients return to their normal lives as quickly and painlessly as possible. His philosophy of surgical care is to treat all patients as he would want his own family members treated.
