Dr. Kelly Epps-Anderson has a special interest in women's cardiovascular health. She is passionate about educating women about their cardiovascular disease risk, prevention strategies and early recognition of symptoms of cardiovascular disease. She is Director of the Inova Women's Cardiovascular Health Center and co-founded Inova's cardio-oncology program. Dr. Epps-Anderson graduated from Harvard College with honors and received her medical degree from Harvard Medical School. She completed her internal medicine residency at The Johns Hopkins Hospital and completed specialty training in cardiology and interventional cardiology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. She is board certified in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology. She has presented her research at multiple national meetings and was a recipient of an American Heart Association Women in Cardiology Trainee Award for Excellence in 2013. She is currently on the Board of Directors of the American Heart Association, Greater Washington Region, serving as President.
