Matthew S Harlan, MD

Dr. Matthew Harlan is a primary care physician board certified in family medicine at Inova Health System. He joined Inova in 2019 and has been practicing since 2019. Prior to joining Inova, Dr. Harlan was a family medicine resident at Inova VCU – Fairfax Family Practice Residency in Fairfax, VA. His areas of clinical interest include anxiety and depression management through diet and lifestyle guidance as well as medications; geriatric care with prioritization of personal goals and values to maximize lifespan and quality of life; education of medical students and co-residents participating in an environment of lifelong learning; and preconception and family planning via training in the Marquette Method of Natural Family Planning.
