Michelle W Jeffery, MD

Dr. Michelle W. Jeffery is board certified in endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism, and internal medicine. She has a special interest in the management of diabetes and pituitary and thyroid disorders. Dr. Jeffery served as a primary care physician for five years in Charlotte, NC before pursing endocrinology. She became interested in endocrinology after witnessing the impact diabetes mellitus had on her grandfathers. Through her fellowship training she developed an appreciation for thyroidal and pituitary diseases as well. Her goal is to help patients manage their endocrine disorders in such a way as to decrease their impact on the patients' ability to lead healthier and productive lives. Dr. Jeffery is a member of the American College of Physicians, American Diabetes Association, American Association of Clinical Endocrinology and the Endocrine Society. She currently resides in Northern Virginia with her husband. She enjoys spending time with her family, playing tennis, reading and traveling.
