Parineeta S Rao, MD

Dr. Neeta Rao is a primary care physician board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. She also completed a post-primary care fellowship in emergency medicine. Dr. Rao joined Inova Medical Group with more than five years of clinical experience. She has a special interest in the management of acute and chronic illnesses, in addition to preventive medicine. Dr. Rao became interested in family medicine because of her love for general medicine and a desire to help educate patients about their medical conditions. Her favorite parts of her job are developing trusting relationships with her patients, and advising them on health and nutrition. Dr. Rao’s goal is to help patients achieve optimal well-being by balancing the best medical treatments available along with promoting positive lifestyle changes. A native of North Carolina, Dr. Rao currently resides in the Washington, DC metro area. In her spare time, she likes to travel, try different cuisines, and spend time with family.
