Patricia C Rizzo, MD

Dr. Patricia Rizzo only takes appointments for breast cancer patients.  Dr. Patricia C. Rizzo is a medical oncologist board certified in hematology and oncology. She has a special interest in the management of breast cancer. She carries many years of extensive experience in the treatment of malignant hematologic disorders and solid tumors. She enjoys working with patients and their families to provide an atmosphere of care, respect and open communication. Dr. Rizzo believes that it is a privilege to help navigate the journey for patients and their families and that "every glass is always half full." There is much more that a physician must provide beyond giving medicine. Dr. Rizzo served as an assistant professor at Georgetown University Lombardi Cancer Center and has been practicing medical oncology in the DC area as a community-based physician for almost two decades. She joined Inova Medical Group with more than twenty-three years of clinical experience. A native of Northern Virginia, Dr. Rizzo currently resides in Mclean, Virginia, with her husband, four children and two dogs.
