Sabrina Jennings, PhD

Dr. Sabrina Jennings is a fellowship-trained neuropsychologist with specialization in sport concussion management. She joined Inova Health System in 2020 and has been practicing since 2018. Prior to joining Inova, Dr. Jennings completed a post-doctoral fellowship within the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center’s Sports Medicine Concussion Program. She strives to provide targeted and individualized concussion care to patients of all ages and backgrounds. Dr. Jennings earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology at the University of Pittsburgh while competing as a division one student-athlete in gymnastics (2005-2006) and swimming and diving (2006-2009). She then went on to earn her master’s degree in forensic psychology from the City University of New York John Jay’s College of Criminal Justice in 2012. In 2018 Dr. Jennings earned her doctoral degree in clinical psychology from Fairleigh Dickinson University and completed her internship in the neuropsychology track at James J. Peters VA Medical Center. During her doctoral studies, Dr. Jennings provided sports psychology services to collegiate athletes and focused her practicum experiences on neuropsychological assessment of brain injuries, and neurodegenerative processes. Her prior experience as an athlete, pre-doctoral training in sport psychology and extensive training in neuropsychology has shaped Dr. Jenning’s clinical and research interests in the management of concussions, as well as providing sports psychology services.
