Samrawit Berhanu, MD

Dr. Samrawit "Sam" Berhanu is a board certified OB-GYN. She has been practicing since 2010, and she joined Inova Health System in 2017.  Dr. Berhanu enjoys all aspects of obstetrics and gynecologic care, and she has a special interest in high-risk obstetrics, abnormal uterine bleeding, contraception care and management of abnormal Pap smears. Her goal is to provide compassionate care for all women through all phases of their lives. She especially enjoys serving uninsured and low-income patients. A native of Ethiopia, she currently lives in Alexandria, VA, with her husband and two daughters, whom she adores. In her free time, Dr. Berhanu loves to eat out and travel.
