Sara H Holmberg, MD

Dr. Sara Holmberg is a specialty care physician board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. She joins Inova with over 3 years of clinical experience. She has a special interest in management of contraception, abnormal bleeding, and both laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery. Most recently Dr. Holmberg served as a physician in private practice in Northern Virginia. Dr. Holmberg became interested in Obstetrics and Gynecology as a medical student at Georgetown University as it allowed her to care for women throughout all stages of life. She loves the excitement of the delivery room and values relationships she has created with her patients over time in the office. Her goal is to help her patients stay healthy both mentally and physically throughout adolescence, pregnancy, and menopause. A native of Frederick, Maryland, Dr. Holmberg currently resides in Arlington, Virginia. In her spare time she enjoys skiing, hiking, crossword puzzles and spending time with friends.
