Tara West, MSW

Tara joined the Inova Mount Vernon Outpatient Neurorehabilitation and Bridge teams in 2019. Originally from Florida, Tara received her Bachelor of Social Work from Florida State University and her Master of Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania. She has resided in Northern Virginia since 2001. Tara has more than 16 years of social work experience in a variety of settings including inpatient hospital, local social services and home health. Through her experiences, she has gained a wealth of knowledge about the resources available to support patients in living their most fulfilling lives. She enjoys working with patients and families to help alleviate stress by working to identify community supports and providing a listening ear. Tara spends most of her free time attending her son and daughter’s activities but she also enjoys visiting historic sites with her husband and children, reading and laughing with friends.
