Dr. Tobias Chapman is a specialty care physician board certified in radiation oncology. He joined Inova Schar Cancer Institute in 2019 with more than eight years of clinical experience. Prior to joining Inova Schar, he served as faculty at Harvard Medical School’s Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in the Department of Radiation Oncology. Dr. Chapman is trained in all aspects of advanced radiation oncology including proton therapy, and specializes in the treatment of head and neck cancers, gastrointestinal cancers, breast cancer, prostate cancer, hematologic malignancies and the central nervous system. His experience with the latest treatment options and techniques provides patients with the highest level of care. Originally from Exeter, United Kingdom, Dr. Chapman earned a First Class Masters of Pharmacology from the University of Bath. Before continuing to medical school at Tufts University, he conducted pre-clinical research in both immunology and oncology in the biotechnology industry. Dr. Chapman has published numerous research articles and book chapters on various radiation oncology topics and continues to serve on the Scientific Program Subcommittee for Radiation Oncology with the Radiological Society of North America.
