Yasmine Assadipour, MD

Dr. Yasmine Assadipour is a board-certified surgeon. She joined Inova Health System in 2021 and has been practicing since 2010. Dr. Assadipour is an endocrine surgeon with a special interest in thyroid, parathyroid, and adrenal surgery. She is a high volume adrenal surgeon with experience in both laparoscopic and robotic approaches. I want my patients to feel safe, comfortable, have a good understanding of their surgical issue, know what to expect from surgery, and to be assured they have my full support throughout their recovery. I am most proud of the minimally invasive and advanced techniques in Endocrine Surgery I can offer to patients to help them have the most effective and most cosmetically optimal outcome. As an active researcher in the field of Endocrine Surgery, I stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in my field and am a contributing member of the American College of Surgeons and the American Association of Endocrine Surgeons. In my spare time I enjoy painting, sculpture, playing the flute, doing yoga, and spending time with my family and friends. My career has been influenced by my mentor, Dr. Steven Rosenberg at the National Institutes of Health, who with all of his accomplishments remained humble and devoted to the care of our number one priority, the patient.
