Welcome to the Inova Surgery Residency Program

These are exciting times at Inova Fairfax Hospital, the flagship of Inova’s five hospitals, and the Inova Surgery Residency Program. Inova Fairfax Medical Campus serves nearly 4 million people with nearly 1,000 beds through the five hospitals on campus. An extensive, five-year campus expansion has recently concluded with the opening of the new Inova Women’s Hospital, a new Inova Children’s Hospital, and a new 10-story patient tower. Additionally, the Inova Center for Personalized Health has opened housing, a new Schar Cancer Center and an expansion of basic science research and simulation center space. Inova's diverse and growing community provides a wide range of experiences and professional challenges for our surgery residents. The surgery resident will serve and learn from a multi-cultural patient population of all ages. Inova Fairfax Hospital has large clinical programs in general surgery, vascular/endovascular surgery, thoracic surgery, level 1 trauma center, surgical critical care, acute care surgery, pediatric surgery, hepatobiliary surgery, minimally invasive surgery and transplantation surgery.
