Overview Conditions Inova Fairfax Hospital's one-of-a-kind Neurosciences Critical Care Unit (NeuroICU) is unique to the region and provides the most advanced monitoring and treatment available for patients with brain injuries and neurological diseases. Full-time neurological hospitalists and critical care specialists – the only dedicated neurocritical care physician team in the area – provide the high level of acuity required for these patients. Neurocritical care is a highly specialized inpatient care provided to patients who have sustained life-threatening injuries from neurotrauma to their brain or spinal cord or who are hospitalized for neurological disease.
